Camping & Hiking, Labor Day 9.10

Started this post ages ago and never finished. Here's to getting caught up and remembering some of summer's fun.

Not a very interesting picture, but this is where I saw a mama bear and two baby bears. Was standing outside the car getting a fresh shirt on when I looked up and saw them walking by. They never looked up and were gone into the trees moments later.

Camping, Table Mountain, 8.8.10

One of the most beautiful places I've ever camped.


Rolled out of bed this morning and walked a few steps out to the bluff. I could see Cle Elum in the distance, but couldn't hear anything but birds and breeze.


So great to share this lovely spot with friends. Ernie made a great breakfast.


I had to pop out to the bluff periodically to see the changing clouds and light. Before the clouds moved in, we could see both Mt. Rainier and Mt. Adams looking one way and the spiky rock peaks of the North Cascades looking the other.
